Okay, so I'm trying something new out. I'm going to post 2 podcasts a week for a while to see how that goes. One will be a playlist episode that's strictly music and the other will be the interview episode you're already accustomed to. Why am I doing this? Because I'm a masochist and also because I know some of you prefer the music episodes and others prefer the interview episodes. So hopefully this satisfies all of you demanding bastards!

Here comes episode number #43 of Full Metal Hipster! Unfortunately I was plagued with illness and technical difficulties while recording this episode to I sound congested and the interview with Dave and Artie from Primitive Weapons got cut off at the beginning. What you hear at the beginning of the interview is the guys explaining why it took so long to release their second record after there 2012 debut. Everything ran smoothly after that. Anyway, enjoy the episode and I'll be back with you next week!

I feel like crap this week, y'all. I don't really feel like writing a lot so here's a quick summary of episode #42 of Full Metal Hipster: I spoke to Chase Ambler of the instrumental black metal band Deafest about a series of compilations he does with Paul Ravenwood of Twilight Fauna. The compilations are called Crushing Intolerance and they feature a big old pile of good underground black metal. All proceeds go to a specific non-profit organization that's voted on by every band appearing on the compilation. It's very cool and you should check out the Black Metal Alliance Bandcamp page right here. That's all I've got for this week. Enjoy the episode and I'll talk to you agin next week when I'm hopefully not feeling like hammered shit.

On episode 41 of Full Metal Hipster I talk to Greg March of Long Island, New York's False Gods. False Gods is a brand spanking new metal band that's releasing an EP called Wasteland on April 22. Musically, the band blends sludge, doom, post-metal and a bit of Godflesh-style industrial into a pleasing stew of LOUD! I spoke with Greg about how the band came together and what their plans are for the future. Lend me your ears, won't you?

Bad news, listeners, there's no interview this week. Boohoohoo, I know. But, in lieu of conversations with interesting musicians, this week I present you with a plethora of great heavy metal music I've received courtesy of Twitter's #MetalBandcampGiftClub. If you're not sure what that is, listen to the episode to find out. Anyway, enjoy the music and I'll talk to you again next week!

Well, this week I've got an interview with Barney Greenway from Napalm Death to share with all of you. Napalm Death is one of my favorite bands and Barney is one of my favorite writers and vocalists so I was absurdly excited to score an interview with him. The interview itself went great and I was really excited to share it until I reviewed the audio and discovered there was a problem with the Skype call and Barney's audio was messed up. It's not completely unintelligible, but you'll need to pay attention to catch some of the stuff he says. I thought about not posting it, but, for the sake of new content and my fellow ND fanatics, here it is.

I don't have much of an introduction this week. I spoke to the Metal Queen Doro Pesch on this weeks episode. If that doesn't mean anything to you then leave the hall, poser! You'llhear some of her music as well as a song from a new New York sludge metal band called False Gods. As always, cool Uncle Shayne is taking care of you.

Greetings, everyone, sorry about skipping an episode last week, but sometimes stuff happens. Ya dig? I've got a pipping hot and fresh podcast for you this week, though. I spoke with Justin and Brett from the Kansas City post-hardcore noise rock band Sharp Weapons and played a couple songs from a compilation of Kansas City bands Justin put together. I also played some new music from Sharp Weapons' upcoming self-titled debut on Static Tension Recordings. The album is out on May 27th, but it's available to pre-order right now through Static Tension's Bandcamp page. The Kansas City compilation I just mentioned is available right here. It's a pay-what-you-want digital download so there's really no reason not to check it out. Enjoy
